Acupuncture Acupuncture is the painless application of hair-fine needles to specific points on the body. Modern research has shown that acupuncture can be used to treat a wide-range of conditions. Cupping Therapy Cupping is a form of therapy in which a local suction is created on the skin with the application of heated cups. Moxibustion Therapy Moxibustion is a traditional East Asian Medical therapy which consists of burning dried mugwort on certain points on the body. Tui na Therapy Tui na is a form of manual therapy used in East Asian Medicine that can be used to treat pain and illness, or to maintain good health. Gua Sha Therapy Gua Sha is a therapy that utilizes a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape areas of your body where there is inflammation to help improve circulation and promote healing. Chinese Herbal Medicine Part of a larger healing system called Traditional Chinese Medicine, herbs are prescribed to treat the entire individual, including their patterns of symptoms as opposed to specific symptoms or diseases. Patients are healed by restoring balance to the body. Bodywork (Massage) A trained and certified professional therapist manipulates the soft tissues of your body — muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin with the hand or an instrument for relaxation or therapeutic purposes.
